Searching for Liberation
Eo ho trovato l'invasor
April 25 is La Festa della Liberazione—Liberation Day in Italy and a national holiday.
Also known as the Anniversary of the Resistance, Liberation Day celebrates not only Italy’s liberation from Nazi-Fascism but also the brave work of those who resisted in order to bring down the oppressive occupying regime and its local associates.
One of the “gifts” of long-term unemployment is having to re-familiarize yourself with yourself. AI could rewrite my LinkedIn career objectives blurb a thousand times, but it will never be able to give me the confidence as knowing my own body of work.
When I look back at articles I’ve written, such as Liberation Day in Italy and the Elephant in the Room, I have shown where I stand, even when I didn’t have to.
So, in honor of Liberation Day, here are a few posts from what I’m calling my Resistance Collection.
I’ve got lots of half-finished posts waiting for me to get back to them. But things are only getting busier as May comes around the bend and I search for both a new job and a new place to live. Stay tuned.
Thanks for reading. I hope you and yours are safe and well.
Cheers,
Melanie

These are fabulous! Happy Liberation Day!
